Mentor Cafe is the career mentorship platform of Davidson Initiative and it creates an avenue for students to connect with industry professionals for the purpose of career advising. This engagement puts into perspective the myriads of opportunities in the industry and helps students to decide, define, and design their career pathway of interest.
Whether you’re a student studying at K-12, college-level, or FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) training schools; or you’re an aspiring professional with an interest in aviation and aerospace, then you are well suited for our mentoring program. The mentoring program is designed to help students to connect with industry professionals and be introduced to the plethora of opportunities in the industry.

PILOT TRACK
The Pilot Track is designed to connect aspiring pilots with their passion for flight—whether for a career or personal fulfillment. The program offers career guidance, free discovery flights for mentees, and flight school enrollment support. With over 763,000 new commercial pilots needed globally in the next 20 years, this track helps meet growing demand by guiding the next generation into the skies.
MAINTENANCE TRACK
The Maintenance Track is a program dedicated to promoting aircraft maintenance careers, supporting A&P students, and guiding the next generation of technicians into the workforce. With many current mechanics nearing retirement and increasing demand for FAA-certified professionals, the industry is facing a growing shortage. Boeing projects that 739,000 new mechanics will be needed globally over the next 20 years—making this support more important than ever.
JOINT TRACK
Comprising of other trades and professions in aviation, namely: avionics, air traffic control, aeronautical and mechanical engineering, aviation business, aerospace science, space, among others. Whatever the channel through which you express your passion for the industry, we are here to further your dreams.
Application
Our mentorship program is custom-made to meet the need of each mentee and is designed to help students decide, define, and design their career paths.
